What happens in Nürnberg / Germany?

Since 1993 we work in Nürnberg Churches (St. Jakob, St. Matthäus, St. Johannis, Vineyard) and in Nürnberg schools (Wilhelm-Löhe-Schule, Hauptschulen Insel Schütt, Uhlandstraße, Schnieglingerstraße u.a.). We provide workshops and lessons. A short overview:

  • The Steppingteam "Nubian Gents" from New York gave concerts and danced in services Now there is also in Nürnberg one studentStreetsteppingteam, which weekly trains in St. Jakob
  • The "singing Maori" Steve Apirana played for 100 students of the 9th grade, told them about his childhood and living on the streets and gave a lesson in "tribal dances"
  • The gospel choir "Angels of Harmony" sang in een "school´s out service"
  • StreetsteppingTrainer Reggie Alvarez from New York City held workshops
In May 2004 we founded "Atlantic Bridge Nürnberg".

What are Bridgebuilders?

The core of Atlantic Bridge are the "BridgebuilderTeams": young people meet for one year, talk about their cultural, social and religious background und organize the following activities:

  1. One weekend for the group to grow together
  2. One trip abroad to another "BridgebuilderTeam", staying with them etc.
  3. Once hosting a "BridgebuilderTeam" from abroad
  4. Visit the "International Youthfestival"
